What are varicose blood vessels?
Healthy blood vessels have shutoffs inside that avoid the venous blood, when standing, from coming down back to the leg. When these shutoffs quit working appropriately, there is an accumulation of blood and an expansion of the blood vessels, which favours the appearance of varicose capillaries.
