When it comes to putting together a flawless makeup look, you have to start with a flawless base! I, for one, am SO picky when it comes to my foundation routine. I try to only use high-end products that are vegan and cruelty-free — but that comes with a steep price.

Scrolling through Cherie last week, I found so many drugstore products that users claimed were worth the hype and I couldn't help but follow my intrigue. Thus, the online shopping ensued and I decided to test out some classic Cherie drugstore face products to see if my bougie routine is actually worth it.

I decided I would test a full drugstore foundation routine — e.l.f. Putty Primer, Maybelline Fit Me Foundation, L.A. Girl Concealer, Coty Airspun powder, Milani Bronzer, Milani Baked Blush, and Wet 'N' Wild MegaGlo Highlighter — as well as a Real Techniques Complexion Sponge and Maybelline Super Stay Liquid Ink Lipstick for good measure.

Overall, I think the test itself was successful while the products were not. All in all, I don't think I can recommend any of the products I used in this test if you're looking for something that is very long-wear and won't flake or straight up disappear on you. However, if you're a casual makeup wearer or you're looking for something on a budget, these products could work for you. But don't come crying to me if your foundation is gone by the end of a long day! I warned you.
